Share love and expand creativity with the power of flowers

Flowers have a profound impact on the human spirit and are an age-old symbol of love and care. At every stage of life, whether in celebration or memorial, giving or receiving flowers can make all the difference in being seen and honored. Flower Moments is a unique guide for how to integrate the powerful magic of flowers at every stage of life, whether it’s a big wedding, a tiny dinner party, or just to brighten up your living room. The expert florists at Native Poppy share friendly and inspiring advice on how to think of life in terms of “flower moments”—for births, celebrations, condolences, apologies, and acts of gratitude. Flowers are the ultimate natural gift to show you care, and in these pages, you’ll learn how to think like a designer, develop your own floral instincts, and create joyful arrangements for every moment life throws our way. With 38 inspiring floral arrangements and projects that everyone can do at home.

About the Author

Natalie Gillgrew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, determined from a young age to create a life filled with beauty and art.  While most high schoolers were throwing keggers, Natalie hosted dinner parties with homemade tomato sauce and pasta for fifty and hand-wrote each guest’s name on their own ice cream bowl for personalized ice cream socials. A self-proclaimed nerd for beauty, she fully embraced her passion for creating joy, magic, and meaning through design. In 2014, she founded Native Poppy with the belief that flowers should feel wild, joyful, and a little bit magical. Natalie is passionate about design that tells a story, honors the uniqueness of each celebration, and brings people together. Outside her life in flowers, she still loves cooking for friends, traveling (especially to tropical snorkel spots) and scheming up her next big idea.
