Heir of Chaos

A lush, dark romance where a sweet, quiet heiress finds herself captivated by the reckless, unwanted younger brother of the wealthy family her sister is to marry into—perfect for fans of Morgan Bridges and Luna Mason.

Valentine “Vex” Ashbourne doesn’t take life too seriously. Raised in the shadow of his older brother, Con, by a tyrannical father, Vex learned early on that he’s the unwanted spare. His natural humor and charm quickly became his armor, hiding his loud, overwhelming mind and emotional dysregulation, finding solace in the women he hooks up with. Until he meets Soft, delicate, and romantic, Elodie Laurent.

Elodie Laurent grew up in a wealthy, traditional French family before her father relocated them to America. She knew from a young age that, when the time comes, her father will choose a suitable husband for her and her sister, Soline, and love will have little to do with it. Soon the Laurents arrive at Ashbourne Manor to formally introduce Soline as one of the seven shortlisted women to marry Con.

Vex’s attention settles on Elodie and he decides she will be his for the night. That decision lasts until he approaches her. Convinced that sweet Elodie has no spine, Vex decides against pursuing her. Despite forcing himself to rule Elodie out as a hookup, they soon start spending more time together because they both want the same thing: to give their siblings a chance at happiness. But soon Vex realizes Elodie is far more observant, calculating, and cunning than he expected. And when he notices how Con behaves around Soline, it becomes obvious that he and Elodie are working toward the same goal, so they join forces–ignoring their growing attraction to one another.
